Our March 2017 client spotlight is dedicated to Shanika Perkins! Shanika has used our training services to lower her body fat, learn new training techniques and prepare for her Spring Break trip.
Xpress Fitness: Tell us a little about who you are, what you do?
Shanika: I am a full-time student. I am in school to receive a Bachelor's of Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource from The University of MS.
Xpress Fitness: What do you like to do in your free time when you are not working or working out at Xpress Fitness? Fun Fact?
Shanika: In my free time I like reading, shopping, listening to music, and YouTube. YouTube is my favorite website! lol
Xpress Fitness: How is training with us different than other gyms and how have we helped you?
Shanika: I enjoy being a client of Xpress Fitness because it provides a personal atmosphere; even during the group training sessions.
Xpress Fitness: What motivates you to work out and maintain a healthy lifestyle?
Shanika: Inspiring others, such as friends and family, keep me motivated to work out and maintain a healthy lifestyle. For me, that can do feeling after a good workout, that boost of energy, seeing my body transform and the compliments (of course) keeps me motivated to keep going.
Xpress Fitness: What is your guilty pleasure food?
Shanika: Fruit candies (laffy taffy, sour gummy worms,etc,) I don’t discriminate.
Xpress Fitness: What advice do you have for somebody looking to start training?
Do it for you! Your body will thank you!
